Kerri, one of the 3 people who still read this pitiful excuse of a blog, wondered where a post titled "I've Got A Secret" went. I wrote it Sunday night and then deleted it. I had just found out that a certain someone I thought I knew very well was voted wildest girl her senior year in high school. I was going to give everyone (yes, all 3 of you) the opportunity to guess who that might be.
Then I deleted the post because I was afraid the former wild child might not appreciate me revealing this tidbit from her past. But, I told her about the whole thing yesterday and she laughed which I took as permission to go ahead and spill the beans. The fact that she's out of town for the day seemed like added confirmation. ;)
So, you ask, who is this mystery woman? None other than the pumpkin pie spice latte chugging Barb! The least wild woman I know. The whole thing rocked my world for just a moment. This is after all the person who when shocked by something says with all seriousness, "Well, I'll be double-dipped." As hard as I try, I can't even begin to imagine what an untamed version of her would look like.
As I told Barb, this is surely proof positive that the Lord can redeem anyone! :D
P.S. I love you, Barb! This also begs the question, was anyone else voted "most _____________" in high school???

I can't believe it Barb, I was voted most wild too. JUST KIDDIN'.
I was voted most spirited, most likely to remain friends (still friends with all of them), best dancer,and worst driver...however I was the wild child in junior high and was kicked out of school 4 times for fighting! God is so good and has done an amazing transformation in me.
By the way Leigh, I am a devoted reader! Keep blogging!!
Does "Class CLown" count? Um, yah, I know...hard to believe. Actually, (and this is from personal experience) I'm all too familiar with being redeemed from the pit of wild child rebellion. I guessed Barb right away! You'd never know it now though!

Sweet, innocent Barb? No wonder she is so in-tune with what those kids are doing!! This should explain a lot to them.
And... I read the blog but often do not comment as most of the time I am in my own little world and it's just somewhere most of you would not understand! LOL j/k

Actually, Sweetie...I don't remember if I was voted anything...That was a LONG time ago. I've truly forgotten...Would have to get out my yrbk from '71. Probably I would've gotten some kind of "Cutest Female Nerd" Award...Slide rule, anyone???

Wasn't voted most anything. As for reading the blog I'm the one on 10 times in one day do to the "crack-berry" as Matt puts it. I can read the post but I can't post anything. Good thing it doesn't tell you who it on and when other wise you gals would think I didn't do anything all day. ;)

Sorry, Barb, I couldn't resist! When Leigh told me this story, I laughed out loud because of how quiet you are now. You know what they say...watch out for the quiet ones!!!

I love your blog, Leigh. It's funny, thoughtful, informative and everything in between. I was voted "Bearer of most class rings" which I never got because my school was very small, 18 in grad class. Oh well, what can you do?
